Track 0 is picture locked, ongoing VFX work, sound and color to start
Much has happened over two years since we last posted on this blog. The last post announced our cast for Track 0: White Cup Ent, and since then, we’ve gone through production, more of that on a later post, and been deep into post-production with start and stops.
But the as the headline reads — Track 0 is picture-locked!
So, the last cut we saw of Track 0 is the final version minus VFX, sound, and color — no more cuts or edits. Of course, last-minute edits can and do occur, but we’re confident we’ve made the right editing decisions.
We reached picture-locked status and quickly pivoted to the next step in post-production — SFX, sound, and color. We’ve been making steady progress on SFX while sound is ramping up with color right behind it.
While Track 0 isn’t SFX-heavy, some shots require some clean-up, some additions that help the story, and others that enhance the location.
We’ve learned during this VFX period that during production, we should have set up some shots and props to rely less on the small yet significant SFX enhancement we are now adding in post-production. Alas, that and the many other lessons we’ve learned during the making of Track 0 will help us when we create Houmans: The Series.
We’re excited and can’t wait to unveil Track 0 and showcase our cast and crew’s terrific work and talent. While the project has had many start-and-stops, the finish line on this proof-of-concept pilot gets closer week by week. And the teaser isn’t too far behind, so expect more updates from us sooner rather than later.
