Jesus Acevedo Jr.
Jesus is an award-winning journalist who claims to have become a writer because words – unlike numbers – came easily to him.
A graduate of the University of Houston, Jesus has an intuition for storytelling and making people laugh. It doesn't matter if people are laughing with him or at him.
Before becoming a journalist, Jesus spent his early 20s drumming his way across Houston with two bands — Shortcomings and <InsertNameHere>.
The memories that Jesus made as a musician were the seeds that started the idea of Houmans: The Series.

Ryan Shoots
From subjecting parents to performances as a child to the theatre, and finally film and television, storytelling has always been important to Ryan.
More than a form of self-expression, telling stories is what allows him to overcome barriers and connect with others.
So it was no surprise that film-making felt like the most natural and fulfilling activity for Ryan.

Esteban Valencia
Esteban has always been drawn to the visual. It started with graphic design but he soon fell in love with photography and cinematography.
He crafted his skills making films with peers and local production companies, creating everything from commercials, to event documentaries, to set building for music videos.
Esteban enjoys using his skills for narratives, brand marketing, commercials, and documentaries. But he’s always open to new kinds of projects.

Giselle Bueno
Giselle was born in Houston, TX but raised in Monterrey, N.L.
Since her earliest years, Giselle has wanted an outlet for her creativity. She begged her parents for a drum set every year from age 5 to 9 but they never caved.
She returned to Houston where she graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s in Journalism.
For Houmans: The Series, Giselle will be shooting, directing, and editing the short film, “Behind Houmans.”
